Dental Health Insurance

Dental health insurance is a type of insurance that covers the medical needs of a person's relating to their teeth. In general, medical needs that constitute dental insurance also includes orthodontic, periodontic, and oral practices, at least to a certain extent. There are three types of dental health insurance plans that a person can have have, either by purchasing individually or through group plans from an employer. The main two types of plans are PPOs and HMOS, and then there other plans such as indemnity plans, which technically are not insurance but do buffer the costs of treatment. In any of these plans, under their coverage, some sort of financial protection will be provided in exchange for a premium that has been paid to the insurance company. To receive their coverage, the insured will not have to file a claim like would be done using auto insurance, but instead would present proof of their insurance plan at the time of service/treatment.
