Investment Bonds

Investment bonds are any type of bond purchased with the goal of investment profits. Bonds are a financial investment product issued by a business or government (and sometimes, other types of organizations) in which that entity agrees to repay the borrowed money to the bond purchaser. The bond issuer uses this form of payment as a way of raising capital for the business or other entity. In most situations, investment bonds also pay out interest, which is the main reason that investors will purchase bonds. Bonds may be bought or sold on the market somewhat like stocks and money market accounts are. The goal of any investment into a bond is to hold it long enough to earn a profit on it and then to sell it or cash it in with the issuing entity.
