Securities Market

A securities market is a term used to describe any market in which securities people buy, sell or exchange them. Securities are a type of investment vehicle. These are sold by a business, government or other organization to raise capital for the group. The investor, or buyer, of the security has the ability to purchase, hold or sell the securities as it relates to their particular financial needs and investment goals. These transactions occur in a financial market, including a stock market. The buying, selling or other transactions occurring in this market allow the buyers to purchase at a low price and then sell at a higher price, to make a profit. Exchanges may not always be profitable as there is a significant level of risk associated with them.
